Overview

KAMNATEC (operated by Kamna Tech Ventures) provides professional engineering services, including CAD drafting, rapid prototyping, reverse engineering, 3D scanning, and product design support. These Terms and Conditions govern all engagements between KAMNATEC and its clients. By engaging our services, submitting an enquiry, or accepting a project quote, you agree to be bound by these terms.

Throughout this document, 'we', 'us', and 'our' refer to KAMNATEC. 'You' and 'client' refer to the person or business engaging our services. 'Project' refers to any agreed scope of work between both parties.

1. Scope of Services

KAMNATEC provides the following engineering support services:

• CAD Drafting — 2D and 3D CAD modelling, assembly drawings, and technical drawing release packs

• Rapid Prototyping — additive manufacturing (3D printing) and prototype production

• Reverse Engineering — physical part measurement, CAD reconstruction, and digital model creation

• 3D Scanning — geometric capture of physical objects for inspection, replication, or documentation

• Product Design — concept development, industrial design, and design-for-manufacturing (DFM) support

All services are delivered on a project basis. Scope, deliverables, format, and timeline are agreed in writing prior to commencement. Any work outside the agreed scope is subject to a separate quote and written approval.

2. Project Engagement & Briefs

To commence a project, clients must provide a clear and accurate project brief including relevant reference files, drawings, specifications, or samples. KAMNATEC will review the brief and provide a written quote outlining scope, deliverables, timeline, and price.

Projects commence upon receipt of written acceptance of the quote and, where applicable, payment of a deposit. KAMNATEC reserves the right to decline any project at its discretion without obligation to provide a reason.

Clients are responsible for the accuracy and completeness of all information, files, and materials provided. KAMNATEC is not liable for errors in deliverables arising from inaccurate, incomplete, or misleading client-provided information.

3. Intellectual Property & Ownership

3.1 Client-Provided Materials

All intellectual property contained in materials provided by the client — including reference drawings, designs, and physical parts — remains the property of the client. By providing such materials, the client confirms they have the legal right to share them and grants KAMNATEC a limited licence to use them solely for the purpose of delivering the agreed services.

3.2 Deliverables

Upon receipt of full payment, ownership of the final deliverables (including CAD files, drawings, and models produced specifically for the client's project) transfers to the client. KAMNATEC retains the right to use general methodologies, skills, and non-proprietary techniques developed during the project for future work.

3.3 Portfolio Use

KAMNATEC may use anonymised or generalised project details for portfolio and marketing purposes unless the client requests confidentiality in writing prior to project commencement. No client-identifying information or proprietary design details will be disclosed without written consent.

4. Confidentiality

KAMNATEC treats all client information, project details, and shared materials as confidential. We will not disclose, share, or sell client information to any third party without written consent, except where required by law.

Clients may request a Non-Disclosure Agreement (NDA) prior to sharing sensitive project information. KAMNATEC is willing to enter into mutual NDAs for appropriate projects. Please raise this requirement before sharing any confidential materials.

5. Fees, Payment & Pricing

5.1 Pricing

All project pricing is provided in Australian Dollars (AUD) and is based on the agreed scope of work. Prices are subject to change for new projects but will not change once a quote has been accepted in writing.

5.2 Payment Terms

Standard payment terms are as follows:

• Projects under $500 AUD: full payment required prior to commencement

• Projects $500–$2,000 AUD: 50% deposit required prior to commencement, balance due upon delivery

• Projects over $2,000 AUD: milestone-based payment schedule agreed in writing prior to commencement

All invoices are due within 14 days of the invoice date unless otherwise agreed in writing. Late payments may incur an interest charge of 2% per month on the outstanding balance.

5.3 Cancellation

If a project is cancelled by the client after commencement, any deposit paid is non-refundable. The client will be invoiced for work completed to the date of cancellation, calculated at the agreed project rate.

6. Revisions & Change Requests

Each project includes a defined number of revision rounds as specified in the project quote. Revisions are defined as reasonable amendments to the agreed scope based on client feedback.

Changes that alter the original scope, add new requirements, or require significant rework are considered change requests and will be quoted separately before work proceeds. KAMNATEC will not proceed with out-of-scope work without written approval and agreement on additional fees.

7. Turnaround Times & Delivery

Estimated turnaround times are provided at the time of quoting and are based on the agreed scope and KAMNATEC's current workload. All timelines are estimates and KAMNATEC will make reasonable efforts to meet them.

Delays caused by late or incomplete client-provided information, change requests, or factors outside KAMNATEC's reasonable control will not constitute a breach of these terms. KAMNATEC will communicate any anticipated delays as early as possible.

Deliverables are provided in the agreed file formats (which may include native CAD files, STEP, IGES, PDF drawings, STL, or BOM spreadsheets). Additional format conversions may incur additional fees.

8. Accuracy of Deliverables & Limitation of Liability

8.1 Accuracy

KAMNATEC applies professional diligence to all deliverables. All CAD files and drawings are produced based on the information provided by the client. The client is responsible for reviewing and approving all deliverables before use in manufacturing, production, or commercial application.

8.2 Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by Australian law, KAMNATEC's total liability to the client for any claim arising from or related to the services provided shall not exceed the total fees paid by the client for the specific project giving rise to the claim.

KAMNATEC is not liable for any indirect, consequential, special, or incidental losses, including lost profits, production losses, or costs arising from errors in deliverables used without client review and approval.

8.3 Manufacturing Responsibility

KAMNATEC provides design and drafting services only. Any decision to manufacture, produce, or commercially deploy parts or products based on KAMNATEC's deliverables is made at the client's sole discretion and risk. KAMNATEC does not warrant that any design is suitable for a specific manufacturing process, material, or end use without explicit written confirmation.

9. Client Responsibilities

By engaging KAMNATEC, the client agrees to:

• Provide accurate, complete, and timely information, files, and feedback required to deliver the project

• Review and approve deliverables within a reasonable timeframe

• Ensure they have legal rights to all materials shared with KAMNATEC

• Not use KAMNATEC's services for any unlawful purpose, including reproducing designs that infringe third-party intellectual property rights

• Make payments in accordance with agreed terms

10. Third-Party Software & Tools

KAMNATEC uses industry-standard CAD software and engineering tools to deliver its services. References to specific software or platforms do not imply endorsement or warranty. Clients requiring deliverables in specific software formats should specify this requirement at the quoting stage.

11. Termination

Either party may terminate a project engagement by providing written notice. In the event of termination, the client is liable for payment of all work completed to the date of termination. KAMNATEC will deliver all completed work product upon receipt of payment for work done.

KAMNATEC reserves the right to immediately suspend or terminate services if the client breaches these terms, including failure to make payment, or provides false or misleading information.

12. Privacy & Personal Information

KAMNATEC collects and handles personal information in accordance with the Australian Privacy Act 1988. Personal information collected during project engagement is used solely for the purpose of delivering services, communicating with clients, and managing project administration. We do not sell or share personal information with third parties without consent.

13. Governing Law & Dispute Resolution

These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of South Australia, Australia. Any disputes arising from or related to these terms or the services provided by KAMNATEC shall first be addressed through good-faith negotiation between the parties.

If resolution cannot be reached through negotiation, disputes will be referred to mediation before any legal proceedings are initiated. KAMNATEC and the client agree that the courts of South Australia have jurisdiction over any unresolved disputes.

14. Amendments to These Terms

KAMNATEC reserves the right to update these Terms and Conditions at any time. The current version will always be available on our website at kamna-tech.com. Continued use of our services following any amendment constitutes acceptance of the updated terms. Material changes will be communicated by email to active clients where possible.
